Here's my approach to coaching.
This is a partnership between you and me.
An effective coaching relationship is a synergistic partnership, not a one-way street. Contrary to what you may have heard, a coaching relationship is not about the coach giving you their opinions and advice about what they think you should do. Effective coaches focus on your strengths, encourage ownership, and do not impose their agendas on you.
It's not my place to tell you what to do.
Effective coaches study and use proven coaching methods to help you clarify your goals and purpose, and design strategies and plans to achieve them. Once you’ve agreed to an action plan that we co-create together – as opposed to being given a plan – I provide gentle accountability and support you in achieving your intended results.
Simplicity and ease drive progress.
Sure you want to change, but if you dread doing the things necessary to get what you want, you’re going to have serious motivation and sustainability problems. A change can be easier to make and a goal easier to achieve, if you make it easier to do the things that have to be done to get there. I focus on evidence-based approaches that are effective and enjoyable because they are simple, easy-to-implement, and lead to continuous progress and success.
